The project repurposed a former two-story LaSalle Bank building into one of the largest Whole Foods Market locations in the country, bringing a premier, high-end grocery anchor to a dense, supply-constrained trade area with strong demographics and limited large-format retail options.

The 76,500-square-foot Whole Foods was uniquely designed as a single-level upper-floor grocery store, with structured parking located below grade and within the basement. This innovative vertical configuration allowed the development to achieve a full large-format grocery footprint while working within the constraints of an urban infill site. The project was designed by OKW Architects, utilizing an adaptive reuse strategy to maximize functionality, access, and long-term viability.

The property benefits from direct access and frontage along North Kingsbury Street and is surrounded by nationally recognized retailers and employment drivers, including Nordstrom, Chase Bank, and REI.
